PC Recommendations for AutoCAD Plant 3D modeling

I work for an engineering firm that does 3D modeling of Power Plants. Currently we use AutoCAD Plant 3D and our models are typically big and complicated. They include many many components (piping, flanges, nuts bolts, washers, steel, etc.)and the PC that I use is not cutting it. It is extremely slow and crashes when I work on our models. I was asked to give a budget for a new PC. I'm by no means a tech guy, so I don't know the first thing about PC specs and what is needed for a fast efficient PC that will allow me to model new power plants without having the issues I have now. Basically I need a fast machine that will not bog down when we model new power plants. They didn't really give me a budget to work with so as far as I know I can probably propose up to $10k for a machine that will handle anything we can throw at it. Can anybody please help with this?

What kind of hardware are you running AutoCAD Plant on currently? As long as you're not doing any extensive CPU rendering, I'd suggest a current-gen high single-core-performance PC such as the following:
