Hi,
I've just bought my first custom built PC (its also my first PC) for 3d work and would like some advice on a good hybrid setup/workflow. Or if anyone can point me to some examples.
I would like to start using PC just for 3d work and have my iMac working too. I have 2 monitor setup but will turn to 1 as pc will need one.
Questions.
What is the best way to share files between the two?
What kind of external hard drive is recommended to be used by both - Should I partition the drive?
How do I attach an external drive to both mac and pc- Do I need more equipment?
What other things should I also be considering that Ive overlooked?

Thanks!

What is the best way to share files between the two?
Ideally, if you want to share data across local devices, a NAS with fast LAN (10G, preferably) on all devices is the fastest way to access files. All other ways will be significantly slower and will require two steps (copy from 1, and paste to the other). But the next best option would be an external SSD that supports at least USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds.

Should I partition the drive?
Not necessary.

You'll need to do this over a local network.
